Our website is free to use, we are proudly independent, and we never take referral fees. Care plans reflected people’s needs and gave staff clear guidance about how to support them safely. People were referred promptly to health care services when required and received on-going healthcare support. Staff worked in partnership with other agencies and feedback from visiting health professionals complimented the staff on a well-run and caring service, as well as their professionalism. People were supported to maintain a balanced diet and staff knew people’s individual likes and dislikes. People were positive about the food at the service and consideration had been given to make the meal time experience for people a pleasant one.

This gives our residents a great feeling of security and we’re one big family community that they are proud to call their home. People received different levels of support with eating and drinking to ensure their needs were met. We spoke to people using the services but their feedback did not relate to the standard we inspected. Our HousingCare PLUS and PREMIUM subscription services offer additional branding, links to your own site, ‘vacancy / availability ads’ and much more. Our site offers information and guidance that we hope will be of help to you.

From our on-going monitoring of the service there was no evidence that demonstrated serious risks or concerns. This inspection report is written in a shorter format because our overall rating of the service has not changed since our last inspection. Our National Housing for Older People Awards celebrate examples of successful retirement housing and housing-with-care. We frame our offer around ‘home’ because we understand its importance for everyone. Housing-with-care developments run by housing associations and local authorities tend to be called ‘extra care’ or ‘independent living’ schemes, and explicitly seek to accommodate people who need daily help. Both ownership and rental options are commonly available, as well as alternative ways of paying for the services on offer – including part deferring payment until a property is sold.

They know each other well, so they know how to work together to deliver a resident-centred approach. We often hear stories of how they have gone the extra mile for our residents and their families. This has brought the great sense of community that we believe is an essential part of our ‘home from home’. We strive to provide the very best standards of care within our care home. Our commitment to training and development is paramount, and we are continually improving the quality of life care through our activities, our contact with families and our food and beverage offering. With the South Downs and beaches on our doorstep, there are plenty of places to make new memories.
